Résumé This Decree creates the General Superintendency of Hydrographic Basins and Fisheries (SBHP), subordinate to the State Secretariat for Sustainable Development – SEDEST, under the terms of Law No. 21.352 of 1 January 2023, which is responsible for the following duties: I - the proposition and dissemination of actions to encourage fishing tourism, economic and social development; support in articulation with international, federal, state and municipal bodies and entities within its area of activity; participation in actions, studies and research on subjects related to their sphere of competence, such as: a) repopulation of fauna and flora; b) encouraging aquaculture systems; c) environmental education with the theme of river basins; d) protection and recovery of riparian forests and biodiversity corridors; the proposal and support for the creation of green areas and/or conservation units in river basins; prospecting projects both in the areas of fauna and flora and in the areas of tourism with private entities, being able to sign agreements with municipalities; carry out joint actions between the State Secretariat for Sustainable Development (SEDEST), the State Secretariat for Agriculture and Supply (SEAB), Instituto Água e Terra (IAT), Instituto de Desenvolvimento Rural do Paraná (IAPAR/EMATER), Companhia Paranaense de Energia (COPEL), the Paraná Sanitation Company (SANEPAR) and other bodies and entities that have a direct or indirect relationship with the issue of river basins, in order to fulfill the interests of the State Government.
