Résumé

Article 40 of the Act concerning Well-being and Health of Animals prohibits the physical intervention on animals during which a part or parts of the animal's body are removed or damaged. Exceptions to this rule may be established by Ministerial Decree. Article 2 lists all kinds of interventions on animals which are allowed and, in several cases, includes directions on how interventions are to be carried out. Several interventions are declared to be offences by the provisions of the Penal Code.
