Résumé

In compliance with this Directive, Member States shall carry out surveys on the units specified in article 2, which covers precisely: (1) undertakings or agricultural holdings which purchase whole milk or, in certain cases, milk products; (2) undertakings which collect milk or cream in order to transfer it in whole or in part, without any processing, to the undertakings referred to in point 1. Article 3 gives the definition of milk for the purposes of this Directive: milk of cows, ewes, goats and buffaloes are covered. The surveys shall be carried out for the data specified in article 4 (the quantity and fat content of the milk and cream that has been collected, the quantity of certain fresh milk products processed and available for delivery, the quantity of certain manufactured dairy products, the use of raw materials, etc.). The results shall be forwarded to the Commission monthly, annually or every three years, as the case may be.
