Résumé Apples and pears are among the products listed in Annex I to Regulation (EC) No. 2200/96 for which standards must be adopted. The present Regulation has been enacted to establish the standards applicable to apples and pears. These standards shall be applied at all stages of marketing, in compliance with the conditions laid down in Regulation (EC) No. 2200/96. The standards regard in particular the minimum requirements to be met by apples and pears after preparation and packaging, size, tolerances, marking and colouring.
