Entry into force notes: This Regulation shall enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union and shall apply from 1 January 2025.

Résumé: This Regulation lays down rules on checks on conformity to marketing standards for the sectors and products referred to in Article 1 of Delegated Regulation (EU) 2023/2429 at all marketing stages; and the requirements for notifications of non-conformity following conformity checks. It requires each Member State to designate a single competent inspection authority responsible for carrying out conformity checks at each stage of marketing and for contacts with and coordination between all designated inspection bodies. Article 3 sets out conditions for the establishment of a database on traders in the sectors and products referred to in Article 1 of Delegated Regulation (EU) 2023/2429.
