Under section 4, officers that have to certificate wildlife can use one of the following methods: inserting a wire into or around the wildlife; inserting one end of the wire through the hole in a pre-numbered metal disc, and sealing the ends of the wire with a lead seal, in a manner approved by the Superintendent. Possible disposal methods of wildlife include: by permitting the person, who has advised the officer where the wildlife is located, to take it into his or her possession and retain it; by giving it to a museum, school or similar institution or by selling it by public auction, with proceeds of the sale accruing to the Consolidated Revenue Fund.
