Résumé

The present Ordinance by the Federal Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, the Environment and Water Resources is made under the Market Organization Act 2007 (BGBl. I, No. 55/2007). The purpose of the Ordinance is to enforce, inter alia, the Commission Regulation (EC) No. 1249/2008 laying down detailed rules on the implementation of the Community scales for the classification of beef, pig and sheep carcases and the reporting of prices thereof of 10 December 2008. In particular, the Ordinance lays down provisions relating to notification requirements in the sectors cattle and meat, eggs and poultry. The text – consisting of 14 articles – deals , inter alia, with the following aspects: sphere of application, definition of terms, form requirements, notification requirements for cattle and beef, notification requirements for pigs and pork, for sheep and sheep meat, for eggs, for poultry and poultry products and final provisions.
