Furthermore, the Ordinance implements the Epizootic Disease Act (RGBl. No. 177/1909). In particular, the Ordinance sets out detailed rules governing the control, monitoring, surveillance and restrictions on movements of animals with a view to preventing the outbreak and spread of bluetongue disease. The text consists of 14 articles divided into 4 Parts as follows: General provisions (1); Administrative measures if there is suspicion and confirmation of bluetongue in farms (2); Zoning, measures in the protection and surveillance zones (3); Final provisions (4).
