Résumé

The Act prohibits the killing, catching, trying to kill or to catch, or disturbing of protected birds. Protected birds are all wild bird species living in Europe, tame pigeon species and some other species mentioned in article 2 of the Hunting Act excluded. A bird may only be declared not to be a protected bird if no other satisfactory solution exists for purposes of safety of air traffic, public health or safety, protection of fauna ad flora, or the prevention of damage to cultivation, livestock, forests, commercial fishery or waters (art. 2). Article 7 prohibits also the having in possession or use, supply, transportation, etc. of protected birds or products of protected birds. Article 10 provides for permits for the killing or catching of protected birds. (35 articles)
