The Order allows the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to serve of a notice or licence on the occupier of any holding having day–to–day responsibility for premises where pigs are kept or for any pigs on the premises. Other measures prescribed by this Order to prevent spreading the disease include notification of (suspicion of) the disease to the Department, measures by authorities in case of (suspected) disease such as cleansing and disinfection and declaration of controlled areas.
