Résumé

This Order applies section 32 of the Animal Health Act 1981 on power to slaughter animals to Aujeszky's disease. It, among other things: requires give notice of the disease to an inspector or constable and to ensure that no animals, carcases or poultry move from premises where (suspected) affected animals are present; enables an inspector to declare certain premises as an infected place; requires a veterinary inspector to inquire into the existence of the disease and gives powers to examine, take samples from and mark animals or carcases for the purposes of such an inquiry; provides for the prohibition or regulation of the movement of animals, poultry and things and for the marking of animals and for the cleansing and disinfection of premises; and enables the Minister to declare an area to be an infected area from which movement of swine is regulated
