Such matters include: the form of an arbitration agreement; order by court of stay of proceedings and reference of the parties to arbitration; appointment of arbitrators; challenge procedure; competence of arbitral tribunal to rule on its jurisdiction; arbitral proceedings; decision making by arbitral tribunal; settlement of disputes by conciliation and otherwise; and recognition and enforcement of awards. Schedule 1 sets out arbitration rules, whereas Schedule 2 contains the text of the Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards.
