Section 1 gives definitions. Section 2 provides for powers given to the government veterinarian doctor or to an inspector to set a notification, for a specified area, in which are listed the places and dates for the marking of sheep and goats. The holder of sheep and goats in the specified area is obliged to bring the sheep and goats in his possession for marking. Section 3 gives the holder of sheep and goats, the permission to demand the marking of his sheep by a government veterinarian doctor or an inspector in the date and places decided by them within two months from marking request date. Section 4 prohibits the holding of unmarked, elder than 10 months, sheep within the area of a local authority. Section 5 provides for marking procedures and marking expenses. Section 6 deals with marking certificates, delivered to the sheep holder at the marking stage with a 12 month validity period. Section 7 competes with label loss. In case a marking label has been lost, the sheep holder must operate according to section 3 within 15 days from loss date. Section 8 deals with marked animals’ death. In case of death, the holder of the animal must provide to return its’ label to the government veterinarian doctor within seven days from death date. Section 9 prohibits the purchasing, selling, transporting and holding of sheep unless sheep it is marked according to this regulation. Section 10 obliges the sheep holder to provide with any assistance required in the marking and labelling procedures.
