This Regulation enters into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
Résumé

This Regulation is composed of 36 articles. Terms and definitions are given in articles 1 and 2. It shall be prohibited to trade or to prepare veterinary medicines unless in possession of a licence issued by the Veterinary and Animal Health Department (art. 3). Conditions and requirements for wholesalers and retailers of veterinary medicines are specified in article 4. Conditions and requirements necessary for obtaining a licence are defined in article 5. Veterinary Medicine Stores shall sell veterinary medicines, materials for veterinary laboratories, veterinary serums and veterinary vaccinations (art. 9). Article 11 sets out requirements and conditions for veterinary stores. Veterinary stores may import drugs listed in the attached table and may sell them only to pharmacies or to veterinary surgeons (art. 13). Article 17 provides for the establishment of the Technical Committee for the Control of Veterinary medicines inside the Department. Composition and duties of the Committee are defined in articles 18 and 19. The Committee shall lay down criteria for the acceptance or the rejection of the registration (art. 24). Penalty provisions are contained in article 35.
