The Act enters into force on 1 June 2005.
Résumé

The Act, which is composed of 38 articles and one Annex, lays down measures for protecting plants against the introduction and spread of harmful organisms and harmful factors. The Act establishes: obligations of natural persons and legal persons concerning plant protection; plant protection measures against the spread of organisms harmful to plants or plant products, and against their spread on the territory of the Slovak Republic; conditions for the registration and control of plant protection products; competences of authorities dealing with plant protection; penalties.
