This Act enters into force on 1 December 2008.

Résumé

This Act specifies the functions and activities carried out by public authorities as regards the registration of varieties of cultivated plants and the marketing of propagating material of cultivated plants. Inspection organ keeps and updates the register, in particular to: (a) obtain a detailed overview of plantations of fruits and hops; (b) determine the production potential of plantations of selected fruits; (c) obtain estimates of medium-volume production and supplying of market with selected fruits; (d) provide information to state administration to decide on financial support.
