Resumen

This Regulation of the Department of Food and Fisheries introduces measures to promote the profitability and competitiveness of aquaculture industry within the framework of environmentally sustainable development and to contribute to coastal zone development. The measures concern the increase of capacity of aquaculture on the coastline (increase the maximum permitted biomass and related environmental impact valuation). Operators shall apply to county authorities for increase of capacity in accordance with this Regulation. Applications for increase shall be verified by the regional offices of the Directorate of Fisheries and the Norwegian Food Safety Authority.
