Resumen Under this Regulation, a general prohibition to release any ozone-depleting substance or halocarbon into the environment is made. The Regulation also provides exemption to this prohibition (sect. 2). The manufacture and sale of ozone-depleting substances is also prohibited, given some exemption (sect. 4). Under this Regulation, servicing procedures must be performed for refrigeration and air conditioning system that contain or may contain ozone-depleting substances or a halocarbons as well as for equipment or systems that contain or may contain halons. The Regulation is completed by 4 Schedules that list , respectively, Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), Halons and Chlorocarbons, Hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs), Hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) and Perfluorocarbons (PFCs).
