Resumen This Law determines the main principles of the development of peasant farming and establishes the legal basis for its functioning. The Law guarantees to the citizens the right to economic self-dependence and social justice. The State sets up favourable conditions for the development of peasant farming and guarantees the protection of the farmers' rights and legitimate interests. Peasant farm is a household based upon common agricultural work and common ownership of the means of production and other property (art. 1). The Law consists of 4 Sections that contain 20 articles. Section 1 lays down the general provisions. Section 2 regards the issues of the allotment of land for peasant farming. Section 3 determines the basic principles of the farming. Section 4 establishes the conditions for the cessation of the farming activity.
