Resumen The target of forest legislation is to regulate relations regarding ownership, management, disposal of forests for the purpose of ensuring conditions for rising up ecological and resource potential of forests, rational and inexhaustible use of forest resources, conservation, protection and reproduction thereof, strengthening legality in the sphere of forest relations. This Law consists of 9 Sections, subdivided into 28 Chapters composed of 78 articles. Section 1 (arts. 1-17)lays down the general provisions. Section 2 (arts. 18-28) regards forestry organization. Section 3 (arts. 29-60) regards the use of forestry resources. Section 4 (arts. 61-63)deals with reforestation and afforestation. Section 5 (arts. 64-67) concerns safeguard and protection of forests. Section 6 (arts. 68-70) regards royalties for the use of forestry resources and financing of forestry. Section 7 (arts. 71-73) regards forestry organization, forestry cadastre, forestry registration and forestry monitoring. Section 8 (arts. 74-77) deals with forestry dispute settlement and establishes the liability for the infringement of forestry legislation. Section 9 (art. 78) regards international agreements.
