Entry into force notes
This Law enters into force 90 days after its publication.
Resumen

This Law, consisting of 322 articles divided into twelve Chapters, approves the General Labour Basic Legislation. It applies to all employment contracts concluded between natural persons and public, private, mixed companies, cooperatives, social organizations, international organizations and diplomatic and consular representations. It also applies to employment contracts concluded abroad by nationals or foreigners residing in Angola at the service of national employers, establishing the principles of the right to work and the prohibition of compulsory or compulsive work. The Law also regulates the State's obligations relating to the right to work and the sources of regulation of Labour Law, regulating the establishment, content and modification of the labour relationship, the conditions under which work is provided, the organization and temporal duration of work, the interruption of work provision, the valorization of work, performance evaluation, remuneration and other economic and social rights of the worker, the suspension and termination of legal-labour relationship and the prescription of rights, expiry of the right to action and conflict resolution.
