Resumen This Act concerns the protection of the environmental heritage of New South Wales, it consists of 171 sections and is divided into eight parts. Part 2 provides for the constitution of the Heritage Council of New South Wales, defines its functions and regulates its operation. The Act prescribes the registration of sites, of natural and historical importance, and defines related application procedures. Part 5 concerns environmental planning instruments and Part 6 provides for other measures for the conservation of the environmental heritage, including the incorporation as a corporation sole of the minister under the name of “Minister administering the Heritage Act 1977” and the establishment of a Heritage Conservation Fund.
