Resumen An Ordinance to introduce into national legislation the Council Directive 92/117/EEC of 17 December 1992 concerning measures for protection against specified zoonoses and specified zoonotic agents in animals and products of animal origin in order to prevent outbreaks of food-borne infections and intoxications. The Ordinance contains at the outset a definition clause relating to various terms therein employed. Once the disease is ascertained in a place, all animals are to be destroyed under official supervisions. The plants have to be disinfected and cleaned according the EU-guidelines. Around an infected area a radius of at least 3 km has to be declared as protected zone. Slaughterhouses within the area have to be surveyed closely. Finally, the Ordinance sets out penalties in case of violations. The Ordinance consists of 14 articles.
