This Decree entered into force on 13 October 2020.
Resumen

This Decree of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, which is composed of 20 articles and nine Annexes, lays down: (a) details on the protection of pets; (b) requirements for the capture of stray animals; (c) requirements for quarantine stations and animal shelters. For the purposes of this Decree pet is defined as an individual of a domesticated dog, cat, ferret or rabbit species or an individual of an amphibian, reptile, rodent, ornamental fish or bird species, including their hybrids. General requirements for the protection of pets mean securing daily inspections of animals kept in a breeding establishment where their welfare depends on timely attention of humans. Special requirements are defined for the protection of gods (art. 4), cats and ferrets (art. 5), rodents and rabbits (art. 6), birds (art. 7), reptiles and amphibians (art. 8), ornamental fish (art. 9).
