Entry into force notes

This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication in the Official Journal of the Euro­pean Communities. Articles 1 to 17 shall apply from 1 January 1984.

Resumen

This Regula­tion lays down rules for the implementation of the Convention on international trade in endangered species of wild fauna and flora, as set out in Annex A, throughout the Community. The objectives and principles of the Convention shall be respected in the application of this Regula­tion. The specimens to which this Regulation applies are any animal or plant, whether alive or dead, of the species listed in Appendices I, II and III to the Conven­tion, any part or product of animals or plants of these species which are listed in Annex B to this Regulation, as well as any other goods which appear from an accompanying docu­ment, the packaging or a mark or label, or from any other circumstances, to be parts or derivatives of animals or plants of these species.
