Entry into force notes: The Regulation enters into force on 23 August 2004.

Resumen: Regulation (EC) No. 850/98 is hereby supplemented with a view to contributing to the protection of deepwater coral reefs from the effects of trawling in the area north west of Scotland delimited by a line joining the coordinates referred to in article 1. Vessels shall be prohibited from using any bottom trawl or similar towed nets operating in contact with the bottom of the sea in the above-mentioned area.
