Resumen

These Regulations provide for the implementation of obligations of Tanzania in respect of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora of 1973 (CITES). They designate the Director of Game appointed under the Wildlife Conservation Act of 1974, as the Management Authority for purposes of the Convention and provide rules for the importation an exportation of species that are covered by CITES. The Director shall, in collaboration with the Scientific Authority or Authorities (to be appointed by the Minister), be the lead agency in the implementation of CITES and grant export and import permits and re-export certificates on behalf of the Government.
