The Regulation came into force on 5 March 2003.
Resumen

This Regulation amends Regulation 999/2001/EC relating to the protection of human and animal health against certain transmissible spongiform encephalopathies. Annex VII to Regulation 999/2001/EC is replaced by the text laid down in the Annex to this Regulation dealing with the eradication of transmissible spongiform encephalopathy. When the presence of a TSE has been officially confirmed an inquiry shall be carried out to identify all animals at risk. Annex VII describes the content of such inquiry as regards bovines, ovines and caprines. Further, the text of Part I of Chapter A of Annex VIII to Regulation 999/2001/EC shall be replaced by the text contained in point 2 of the Annex hereby attached, which prescribes conditions for intra-Community trade in live animals.
