Entry into force notes

This Regulation shall enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union. Article 2(2) shall apply from 1 January 2027.

Resumen

This Regulation sets out measures to prevent the establishment and spread of Agrilus planipennis Fairmaire within the Union territory in case it is found to be present there. Article 2 lays down the requirements of surveys of the Union territory in accordance with Article 24 of Regulation (EU) 2016/2031 and obliges the competent authorities to conduct risk-based surveys for the presence of the specified pest annually in the areas of their territories where it is not known to occur. Furthermore, this Regulation determines the obligations of the Member States for the effective management of that specified pest.
