This Decision aims at preventing the introduction into and spread within the European Community of the organism Dryocosmus kuriphilus Yasumatsu. To this end, the Decision sets out special conditions governing the import and movement of plants or parts of plants of the genus Castanea Mill., intended for planting, other than fruit and seeds.
