Resumen This Regulation concerns the recycling of beverage containers defined as means any bottle, can, plastic cup or paperboard carton or a package made of metal, plastic, paper, glass or other material,or a combination of them, that contains or has contained any liquid that is a ready-to-serve drink. The Regulation also establishes the Beverage Container Management Board and contains provisions on its functions and powers as well as on its operation. Under section 7, all containers have to be registered, by manufacturers, with the Board. The Regulation also requires manufacturers to use a common collection system for the recovery and recycling of empty non-refillable registered containers (sect. 8). The Regulation also provides for access to information by the Board (sect. 17) and for its power to pass by-laws (sect. 18).
