In regard to ovine animals the Regulations establish that operator keeping an ovine referred to in Article 45(1) of Regulation 2019/2035 that is intended to be moved directly to a slaughterhouse shall ensure that in place of the requirements establish by Article 45(1) (conventional ear tag or conventional paster band) each ovine is identified by at least a single electronic identification device displaying the unique registration number of the establishment of birth of the animal, and the identification code of the animal. The Regulations also establish additional requirements of identification that must be respected by an operator of an establishment keeping a porcine referred to in Article 52(1) of Regulation 2019/2035.
