Resumen: The Act contains provisions to amend the Animal Health and Welfare Act 2013 aimed at prohibit the breeding, rearing or keeping of specified animals solely or primarily for the value of, or the manufacture of products from, their fur or skin (new Part 12A). It also sets a system of compensation to persons who before the coming into operation of the prohibition were engaged in the fur farming of mink pursuant to a licence under the Musk Rats Act 1933.
