Resumen The aim of this Act is to enhance the cost-effective improvement of energy. The present Act lays down: (1) rules for the preparation of the national action plan on energy efficiency (specified in Sec. 2); (2) tasks of public sector entities in the field of energy efficiency (Sec. 3); (3) rules for the implementation of the obligation to obtain energy savings (Sec. 4); (4) rules for conducting an energy audit of an enterprise (Sec. 5). The competent minister prepares the national action plan every three years. This plan contains in particular: (1) description of planned programs containing activities in the field of energy efficiency improvement in individual sectors of the economy; (2) specification of the national target for energy efficiency; (3) information on the energy savings achieved, including those in transmission or distribution, in delivery and in final energy consumption; (4) strategy for supporting investments in the renovation of buildings.
