Abstract

This Act amends various written laws including the Environmental Management Act, 2004 in sections 16 (on powers of the Attorney General in respect of the National Environment Management Council), 42 (on submitting of environmental action plans to the Minister by local authorities), 57 (on prohibition of human activities near water conservation areas or the sea), 184 (Offences relating to environmental impact assessments, 187 (offences relating to pollution), 191 (general penalties) and Schedule 4 (composition and proceedings of the board of trustees of the National Environmental Trust Fund).
