Abstract

These Regulations deal with miscellaneous matters relating to the capture of wild animals and wild animals held in captivity such as licenses for trappers (reg. 1), licenses for exporters of captive animals (2), transportation of animals (3), premises for the holding of animals (4), care of wild animals held in captivity (5), sanitation (6) wildlife registers (7), restriction on the export of animals (8). Licenses shall be granted by the Guyana C.I.T.E.S. management Authority. All exporters shall have a Wildlife Register on their premises. This Register shall be made available to the Wildlife Inspector on request. The Register shall contain particulars as specified in regulation 7. Article 9 contains rules specific to birds, mammals and reptiles. The Schedule specifies license fees.
