Abstract

Amendments of the principal Regulations concern the prohibition of group hunting (regs. 4 and 9), offences (reg. 5), and interpretation (“bushmeat” and “group hunting” are defined). Section 6A, added here to the principal Regulations prohibit the trading in bushmeat without a licence, whereas the new regulation 6B prohibits the keeping of wild animals without a licence issued by the Chief Game and Wildlife Officer.
