The present Regulations come into force on 1 April 2014.
Abstract

The present Regulation is made under section 63 of the Waters Act. In particular, the Regulations lay down provisions relating to the correct and efficient enforcement of the afore-mentioned Act. Section 3 specifies that the geographical areas of the Northwest Territories set out in Schedule A are established as water management areas. The text - consisting of 15 sections – deals with the following aspects: application, water use or water deposit without a licence, application for licences, application fees, licensing criteria, water use fees, applications for cancellation, security, applications for expropriation, public register, reports. Seven Schedules are enclosed.
