Abstract

These Regulations amend the Water Supply (Water Quality) Regulations 2007 so as to implement aspects of Council Directive 98/83/EC on the quality of water intended for human consumption. These aspects include, control of water undertakers by the Department, authorization of temporary supply of water that is not wholesome, and disinfection. They also amend the Water and Sewerage Services (Northern Ireland) Order 2006 in relation to control measures and sampling of water.
