Abstract These Regulations, made under the Water Industry Act 1991, specify a condition of water supply for purposes of the Act as amended by the Water Act 2003. Section 66A of the Act requires certain conditions at which water undertakers are to grant licensed water suppliers access to their supply systems to be met. These Regulations prescribe that conditions regarding water fittings as specified in regulations 3, 4 and 5(1) of the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999 shall be the prescribed requirements for purposes of section 66A of the Act in so far as they apply by virtue of regulation 2 of those Regulations. Those requirements prevent contamination and waste of water supplied by a water undertaker.
