The first part regulates the granting of water investigation permits, permits to construct or alter works, bore construction permits, licences to take or use surface water, licences to take groundwater, and waste discharge licences. The second part deals with drilling operations. A holder of a drilling licence shall keep records and drilling samples. The Drillers' Qualifications Advisory Committee shall assist the Controller in relation to the granting, renewal or variation of Drilling Licences, in relation to the operation of Division 2 of Part 6 of the Act; and on matters referred to it by the Controller.
