Abstract

These Rules amend the Water Pollution Rules, 2001 in rule 2 in the definition of “registrable facility”, by inserting after the words “a sewerage facility” the following words: “ involved in treating discharge from a facility or institution listed in (a) to (d) above”; and in the definition of “sewerage facility”, by deleting the words "and house sewers". They also amend the Second Schedule in item 4 regarding permissible levels of pollutants for specified receiving environments.
