The present Law enters into force on 1 September 2008.
Abstract

The present Law regulates the exploitation of public surface and groundwater, as well as the use of surface waters. The provisions of the present Law apply also to the thermal and medicinal waters. The text consists of 44 articles divided into 5 Parts as follows: Utilization of waters in general (1); Utilization of hydropower (2); Other utilizations (3); Fines (4); Final and transitional provisions (4).
