This Ordinance comes into force on 1 March 2003.

Abstract

The present Ordinance lays down provisions relating to the exploitation and disposal of waste wood. In particular, article 1 establishes that the Ordinance applies to the: 1) exploitation of substance, 2) exploitation of energy, and 3) disposal of waste wood. The text consisting of 13 articles deals with the following matters: Sphere of application (1), Definition of terms (2), Requirements for recovery (3), Quality of the utilisation (4); Allocation of waste wood categories (5); Control of waste wood for the manufacture of wood-based materials (6); Control of waste wood for energy recovery (7); Marketing of waste wood (8); Removal of waste wood (9); Obligation of producers and owners to keep waste wood separate (10); Information and labelling obligations (11); Operating diary (12); Administrative offences (13). The Ordinance has 6 Annexes as follow: Process for the recycling of the waste wood (I); Limit values for wood chips and wood shavings for the production of wood-based materials (II); Allocation of common waste wood assortments as a rule (III); Specifications for the analysis of wood chips and wood shavings for the production of wood-based materials (IV); Investigation of waste wood for energy recovery (V); Delivery note for waste food (VI).
