Abstract

This Order introduces measures for the prevention of spreading of infestation of cattle, sheep, goat and horse with the maggot of the warble fly in Jersey. Infestation of animals with the maggot of the warble fly shall be a disease for the purposes of all provisions of the Diseases of Animals (Jersey) Law 1956 other than article 4. Every person having in his or her custody a visibly infested animal (or an animal in which infestation can be ascertained by handling) shall treat that animal in accordance with this Order.
