Aims and principles contained in the Waste Disposal Act 2002 apply also to the present Law. The underlying principles of waste management are, inter alia, to prevent or to keep at a low level the harmful effects on human beings, animals and plants, to keep at a low level the discharge of harmful substances in the air, to spare natural resources, such as water, energy, countryside.
