Abstract The objectives of these Regulations are: a) to prescribe the information to be included in an application for registration as a veterinary practitioner under the Veterinary Practice Act 1997; and b) to prescribe the particulars to be included in the Register; and c) to prescribe the particulars to be included on a certificate of registration under the Veterinary Practice Act 1997. For the purposes of Registration, the following information is required: veterinary practitioner's qualifications supporting the application for registration as a veterinary practitioner; the date of the veterinary practitioner's first general registration whether in Victoria or elsewhere; veterinary practitioner's registration number; details of any cancellation of registration. For the Certificate of registration, the following information is required: a) the veterinary practitioner's name; b) the veterinary practitioner's qualifications that supported the application for registration as a veterinary practitioner; c) the date the certificate is issued.
