Abstract

The present Regulations are made under the Canada Shipping Act, 2001. Section 3 establishes that except as otherwise provided, these Regulations apply in respect of: a) vessels in waters under Canadian jurisdiction; and b) Canadian vessels everywhere. The text consists of 137 sections divided into 4 Parts as follows: General (1); Specific provisions (2); Pollutant discharge reporting (3); Consequential amendment, repeals and coming into force (4). Four Schedules are enclosed.
