Abstract

These Regulations amend the principal Regulations of 1993 so as to implement Commission Directive 96/18/EC amending various Council Directives on the marketing of seeds and propagating materials. The maximum seed lot weight for seeds of broad bean, French bean and pea is increased to 25 tonnes. These Regulations also make provision for the minimum requirements in respect of primary sampling of seed lots of 20,001 kg and above (Part I of Schedule 5 concerning the sampling of seed lots).
