Abstract

These Regulations have been adopted in implementation of the provisions laid down in Directive 2003/30/EC on the promotion of the use of biofuels or other renewable fuels for transport, with a view to contributing to objectives such as meeting climate change commitments, environmentally friendly security of supply and promoting renewable energy sources. Regulation 3 concerns the national indicative targets to be adopted by the Malta Resources Authority, pursuant to article 3 of the Directive above-mentioned. Further provisions regard reporting and monitoring.
